Organizations, locations and contacts
Add your clients, their sites and the people you work with.
An organization is a client, or any other company you document: your own business, a vendor or a prospect. Everything else (assets, passwords, documents, domains) belongs to an organization.
Add an organization
- Choose Organizations in the sidebar, then + Organization.
- Enter the name, and optionally the type, status, website and phone number.
- Use Quick notes for the things every technician should know at a glance, such as "After-hours support approved by Jane only".
| Field | Options |
|---|---|
| Type | Client, Internal, Vendor, Prospect |
| Status | Active, Inactive |
Tip: If you use ConnectWise PSA, HaloPSA or NinjaOne, you don't need to type your clients in. See PSA & RMM sync.
The organization page
Opening an organization shows its Overview: quick notes, assets, documents, key contacts, locations, what's expiring and recent activity. The tabs along the top only show this client's documentation:
Overview · Assets · Flexible assets · Passwords · Documents · Domains · Contacts · Locations · AI Import
The ✨ Ask AI about… button starts a conversation about this client only.
Locations
Locations are a client's offices, sites or data centers, with an address, phone number and notes. Mark one as the primary location. Assets and contacts can be linked to a location, so you can see what's where.
Contacts
Contacts are the people at the client: name, job title, email, phone, mobile and notes. Mark the main point of contact as Primary and they're listed first. A contact can be linked to a location and to the assets they use.
Delete an organization
Deleting an organization permanently removes it and everything in it: assets, passwords, documents, contacts, locations and domains. You need the Delete organizations permission, and you'll be asked to confirm.
Warning: There's no undo for deleting an organization. If a client has only left, set its status to Inactive instead.
Who can see an organization
People with access to all organizations see every client. Others only see the organizations they've been given, directly or through a team. See Users, roles and teams.
