Tags and related items
Label anything, filter by label, and link items together so everything about a system is one click away.
Tags
Tags are colored labels such as HIPAA, Critical or VIP. You can tag organizations, assets, flexible assets, documents, passwords, contacts, locations and domains.
Add a tag from the Tags card on any item's page with + Add tag.
Create and manage tags in Tags (sidebar) if your role includes Manage tags. Each tag has:

Use tags to find things:
- Lists have a tag filter.
- Search accepts
#tag, for exampleserver #critical. - Each tag's page lists everything that carries it.
Related items
The Related items card on every page links items together: the server, the passwords that unlock it, the runbook that fixes it and the vendor to call.
- Choose + Relate on any item.
- Search, and filter by type, asset type or tag.
- Tick one or more items and choose Relate.
Related items are grouped by type and show on both items. Remove a link with ✕.
Tip: You can relate a tag. Relating the tag Datto backup to a runbook links every item with that tag, including ones tagged later.
Global Knowledge Base articles can be related to any client's items, so one procedure can be linked everywhere it applies. Links created by tag fields also appear here, labelled with the field's name.
