Addigy

Sync clients, Apple devices and Addigy's policies, with the software and MDM profiles each one deploys.

Connect Addigy and each client's Macs and other Apple devices are documented automatically: model, serial number, OS version, user, IP and MAC address, and warranty. Addigy's policies come across too, as 🍏 MDM Policy flexible assets, with the software, MDM profiles and settings each one deploys.

Knowpoint only reads from Addigy. Nothing is changed there.

How clients are found

In Addigy, each client is usually a top-level policy, with the client's other policies inside it. Each top-level policy becomes an organization in Knowpoint, matched by name to one you already have, or created. A device belongs to the client whose policy tree it's in.

What's synced

From Addigy Becomes
Top-level policies Organizations
Devices Assets (Workstation for a Mac, Other for an iPhone or iPad), with a From Addigy card
Every policy 🍏 MDM Policies: the Smart Software it installs, the MDM profiles assigned to it, settings such as forced system updates or remote access, what's in Self Service, the policy it's inside, and how many devices are in it

Set it up

  1. In Addigy, go to Account β†’ Integrations β†’ API & Webhooks, and open the V2 tab.
  2. Create an API key with View Devices, View Policies and View Smart Software. Copy it: Addigy only shows it once.
  3. In Knowpoint, go to Admin β†’ Integrations β†’ Addigy, paste the key, and choose Test connection.
  4. Choose Match companies to check each top-level policy went to the right client, then Sync now.

Good to know

  • Device details from Addigy follow the device details order when another tool documents the same Mac.
  • Matching works as it does for every integration: by serial number first, so a Mac that's also in another tool is one asset, not two.
