One password, several sites

Save every site a login is used on, so the browser extension offers it on all of them.

Some logins work on more than one site: a vendor's portal and its billing site, say, or one account behind several admin pages. Save every site on the one password instead of making copies.

Add another URL

  1. Open the password and select Edit (or create a new one).
  2. Under Login URL, enter the first site.
  3. Select + Add another URL for each other site, and enter it. Select Γ— to remove one.
  4. Select Save.

The first URL is the main one: it's the one exports to a spreadsheet and the REST API show as the password's URL. The password page lists them all.

Where they count

  • The browser extension offers the password on every site in its list, and on their subdomains (a password for example.com shows on portal.example.com, never on look-alikes such as example.com.evil.net).
  • Search finds the password by any of its URLs.
  • Knowpoint exports (Admin β†’ Data, JSON) keep every URL, and importing that export brings them back.
